1. Obviously you are too young to remember the Aggies' glory days. (Heck, I guess nearly everyone is!) NO OTHER SCHOOL, with, of course, the exception of our own, has the tradition and loyalty of the Aggies.

I know. I grew up as an Aggie's son. Narrowly escaped becoming one and instead became a Tiger. Thank You, Lord! :eek:ldskule:
  2. A friend of mine also claims he has some inside info (I don't know how inside), but he has heard that Pelini is one the list.

I think Pelini could very easily go back there. I've heard that he didn't like the new AD when he left, and anytime an AD fires a coach for going 9-3 then there is good reason to hate him. Now that Osbourne is there as the AD temporarily, he maybe able to sway Pelini. It is the best time for him to jump for a HC job. He has put out top 5 defenses since he has been here.

The only knock on him from listening to you guys is his recruiting ability and personality. Nebraska needs some serious recruiting.
  3. Pelini's not that short
  4. No Way!!!!

He cannot and will not get a better job then Nebraska in the next couple of years.
  5. You won't have to look far for sources.
  6. He might have an opportunity at LSU if Les does leave for his alma mater. If I were him I would wait and see how that situation goes down, because if it does he will be looked at for the HC at LSU.
  7. It's not the 70's and 80's anymore. Recruiting to a place like Nebraska is really difficult... middle of nowhere... cold weather. Where would you rather go as an 18 year old kid?
    1 person likes this.
  8. Uhmm Aggies glory days? Where they've won ONE national championship back in 1939? ONE Big 12 championship?!?! Glory days? I wasnt alive in the 80s, but I also know that every bowl they went to, they were embarassed in, and that they only have something like 3 top 5 finishes ever. Please, glory days... the only time they ever won something, they were cheating out of the ass
  9. I live close to Bryan/College Station and around alot of Aggie fans. I fly my LSU flag proudly and catch alot of flack about it from them. To them, "glory days" means any year they beat Texas. That one game will make or break their season.
  10. Make no mistake about it, Callahan is gone. His fate was sealed when his team trailed 38-0 and eventually lost 45-14 in front of Tom Osbourne on the night they were honoring the '97 National Championship team. Major embarrassment! That, plus some of the programs biggest boosters saying they will not support the current coaching staff are enough to lead to his ousting,

Osbourne becomes temporary AD, apologizes to Pelini on behalf of NU for not hiring him to begin with, and Bo becomes the next head coach of the Huskers; which is a job he covets like Miles and UM.

    Book it.
