those are the waterboys. it's two black guys that play rap and soul music in the background while they talk and take calls. it might be worse than the now defunct scrappy and blake andrews tsr show.

you can blame the staff for rushing JV and AB 131 times for 522 yards (3.9) while hester, williams and scott combined for 5.5 ypc. you can blame the staff for playing a 50-70% JR during 2005 instead of a 100% matt flynn. you can blame the staff for trindon holliday only touching the ball 14 times on offense.

As long as Miles fields teams that are in the hunt each season those titles will come. Sometimes the ball bounces funny and you wind up on the outside but then all the stars alighn and by some dumb luck you wind up making your play. There are so many examples of this every season.

2003 was a fluke of all flukes. That team was lucky to get there and just talented enough to get the job done. Given another 5 minutes in that game and the outcome would be much different. Just my opinion...

I like Les' enthusiasm and he rolls with the changes. You may fool him once but he doesn't let you do it again. With all of his public quirkyness I think it endears him to the state and the University. Kind of the like goofy brother you make fun of at home but be damned if someone else comes along and tries to screw with him. He may not get a Nobel prize for speaking but I do believe he has a great mind for coaching and leadership.

That said...I doubt he goes anywhere anytime soon. If anything he makes the jump to the pros because no other job in the country can compare to what he has now.

Holliday is 5-5, 155 and cannot survive in the SEC by being heavily used. They are protecting him. Get used to seeing Holliday play sparingly. His asset is his speed and they will keep him fresh and healthy. He won't go in often, but when he does, he'll be exceedingly fast. The fastest man in college football, in fact.

A fresh Holliday in the 4th quarter against tired defensive backs could be really, really handy.

I'm hearing 8-10 touches on offense per game.

should be about about right because miles said he'd like for #8 to get about 8-12 touches a game. with about 4 of those on special teams..

Those were their only losses in their 1st year, a year complicated by dual hurricanes and a new coaching staff instituting a new system. I would think that you would be over that by now.

Come on bro, if you have a right to argue a spot to play for the top prize in CFB vs. a Cotton Bowl berth...

    Agree dhead.

GT, the timing, leaving the team, also came into play so not really apples and apples........even if all other things would have been equal. :thumb:

You guys are crazy, if the only way we can keep Pelini is to make him head coach, we have to do it. The man is incredible...not just with X/O but with player development and management and interactions. The players on the team would run through a brick wall topped with small children for him.

Skip won't be here to mangle a search, so his criteria are out.
