Granted, the Warriors sat everybody on the 2nd night of a back-to-back (rumor has it they called Tim Hardaway and Rick Barry just to tell them they wouldn't be playing either), but the game still counts, and the Pels took care of business. Zion returned and just scored 9, but he passed up several chances to play one-on-one and kicked the ball out for 4 assists. 34 for BI, Graham off the bench for 19 on 6-11 3's. Many wondered if McCollum had more to his game when he was in Portland and in the shadow of Damian Lillard. When the New Orleans Pelicans acquired him last season, it was finally his chance to show what he could do as a lead guard. McCollum has been brilliant running this Pelicans team. They’re so much worse when he’s not on the floor, and he’s shown he’s not just a scorer. This is also probably the best defense we’ve seen from him on a consistent basis. David Griffin and Willie Green have trusted McCollum to deliver in more aspects than originally expected.

Zion flirted with a triple double, 23-8-8, and Murphy chucked in 20. Pels now tied with Memphis for 3rd best record in the West, just a game and a half out of the lead. Pels 126, Raptors 108. With still no BI or CJ, Zion had his best game of the season with 33 points on 80% shooting, plus 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Attacked the basket with some spectacular dunks early, and when the Raptors cut a 30 point lead to 11 midway through the 4th, he took over and put the game away himself (notice on the hilites below; in 29 seconds of the 4th, he had a block, a steal and two baskets, including an incredible dunk). 26 for Murphy on 6 of 12 shooting behind the arc, and 16/13 for Jonas.
