Whatever. But you are one of those rich white dudes their advertisers crave. When you go ABC goes. And stunts like this will drive a whole lotta yous away. The decision to be unabashedly biased will be their undoing.

Stupid? No. Numb, uneducated, and incapable of following any issue longer than 45 seconds and only that long if it includes vivid pictures and smartassery? You be the judge. The evidence is overwhelming.

Personal attacks, by the way, do not exactly help your primary argument - assuming it is that "American's aren't stupid."

I don't believe this, and I really don't see how the right can really talk down to the left for being blind followers of Obama.

"Obamatons" "Sheeple" "The Great Leader El Douche." Sounds like a lot of right wing talk radio buzz words with no meaning. I can re-write that entire blog post in less than ten words without loosing a lick of the message.

    Here it goes...

"Most Americans are stupid and believe anything."

I didn't personally attack anyone, but it seems our resident blogger just called a pretty healthy chunk of Americans dumb asses.

Not what I read. What I read was the nation is so polarized that the left will believe anything that comes out of President Obama's mouth and refuse to apply the same "fascism" and "personal liberties" filters that they choked the Bush administration with.

The right is just as bad. I'm an equal opportunity critic.

The problem with the left is that they have FAR stronger tendencies towards semi-authoritarian thoughts - along the lines of "you people can't take care of yourselves, and we're really smart, so we'll tell you what's best for you and force you to comply."

In general, the right tends more towards libertarian ideals. So I tend towards the right more than the left.

Well. I guess you can investigate. Just turn on the TV (at your own peril) and watch the crap that gets thrown at you. Use a stopwatch and time how long most news segments are. Pay attention to the people giving you the news - most of them look like models.

It's visual consumerism, not news. Used to be - Headline news was the only station that gave blurbs of stories. Now, it's all headlines and talking points. Journalism is practically dead IMO. Except in the tabloids - those hacks still dig deep, apparently.

Why is that? Because that's what the people want and will pay for. Tell me what I want to hear but make it quick and pithy - I don't want details and dissenting opinions - too messy.

Numb, uneducated, impatient. Eternal teenagers. Most of us, anyway.

You have been around TF for years and are not a single-post spammer, so you haven't been deleted. You can post your own material here as long as its in the right forum. Overt shilling for your blogsite was over the line, but you can blather about your unusual politics all day long in FSA, especially since you do respond to posts here, unlike typical spammers who only tease you to their site where they respond.

He was breaking the rules and he was informed. Now he's fine. You feel better now?

Indeed. The left is unwilling to credit Bush for correcting many failed policies in his last two years. The right is unwilling to give Obama any time to correct any more.

Moderates are standing left-of-center right now . . . and there are a lot more moderates than there have ever been. McCain was an effort, but overall the Republicans have failed to embrace the center as much as the Democrats have.

The polarity you speak of is very real and if it gets worse instead of getting better, the political vacuum in the center where most of the electorate lays will become larger. There has never been a better time for a moderate third party to emerge.

But how will that moderate third party know where they stand if both extremes keep becoming more extreme? The moderate party will be in a state of perpetual waiting to determine what they really believe.

He broke the rules and was advised of it in a previous thread. I was referring to this one. XXL said he'd stop posting if Red said to. I was saying "F Red, you didn't break any rules here."
