Okay, lets see how many of them, now completly dissatisfied with the pay, resign from office. Not a single one will. Why? Can't put dollar value on the amount of power they have.
You're such a cynic. Didn't you hear Michot say he supported the bill because there were lot of good people who were unable to run for office because the pay was too low for them to be able to serve. It's not about him, Hatch, it's for the good of all people. Can't you see that? :hihi:
Of course if that was the true insentive of the bill, there'd be no reason not to wait for the next term in office for it go into effect, right?
Mobius, this is curious....the rest of the media around the state does not seem to be picking up on the A.B. Franklin recall. (no opinion being offered here, just pointing out the omission): http://www.nola.com/news/t-p/frontpage/index.ssf?/base/news-11/1214976245235170.xml&coll=1
Well it has been dropped now that the vote is over but it was on the front page of the paper in Lake Charles when it happened a couple of weeks ago. The local news station called him out on TV in its "hot button editorial". Don't know why it's been overlooked.
