Pete Carroll took his NFL shot with the Patriots and it didn't work out. I doubt he wants to leave USC. He's got a pretty good thing going over there.

He didn't do terribly there, but it is because of what LSU alum 24 said that he won't consider it.

i know cowher is "retired", but I think Dallas would greatly overpay to get him...

would 5-6 million a year make him want to push back his retirement for a few more years?

    i think maybe it would.

another name to consider is Dennis Green

when parcells was initially hired, it was out of him and Green.

Considering that the only time Moss was ever on his best behavior was with Green, I think he will get a look with Owens on staff.

    This is not that crazy.

Nutt could be his puppet. Jerry Jones in the war room, picking a kicker in the first round of the draft. Can you just envision it now?

    I would love it.

Sorry, unlike jackleg Saban, Cowher is a man of his word.

He won't come back for at least a year, probably 2.

My guess is Phillips as the head coach and Turner as the OC. I think that would be a good combo. Phillips has done a fine job before as head coach and proven he is a very good defensive minded coach.

THe NFL is a young man's game, and Pacells was getting too old to go through the brutal hours and stress. Plus, dealing with TO didn't help. I'm kind of surprised he stepped away after he finally rebuilt the team, and the nucleus seemed like it could be make a run for the next few years.
