Pancho's is the greatest mexican food restaurant of all time. I refuse to argue about this.

i had almost forgotten about the flag-raising. pancho's is extraordinary in so many ways. when i eat, i need lots of liquids, so i have to summon the help frequently for refills. sometimes i am annoyed having to catch the attention of my server with a signal of some sort. not with the flag. pancho's is one of the few restaurants brilliant enough to have a system that helps me stay hydrated.

all restaurants should have the flag system.

    Dear William,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us at Pancho's Mexican Buffet online. We appreciate your loyalty and support, as well as your opinions as our customer.

As I am sure you are aware, our Metairie location sustained damages during Hurricane Katrina and was rendered inoperable. The storefront that houses our restaurant has since been torn down. As such, we have no immediate plans to rebuild or relocate in the Metairie or New Orleans areas. We are always happy to accept suggestions from our guests as to areas in which we may be successful; I will be glad to pass yours along to our corporate officers for review.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your comments with us online. We hope to see you again some time soon at one of our many locations across Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Oklahoma and in Bossier City, LA.

    Thanks.

    Kristi Wallace

I remember eating at the one in Lafayette during my USL days. I am pretty sure it is still there.

    Love the soapy pillows.

According to the website, only the Bossier City location is still open in Louisiana.

    Ponchos

I miss the flautas and chile rellenos from Panchos, particularly the chile rellenos. Those things were simple and junk food and so fckn awesome. Thickly breaded bell peppers fried with melted white cheese on the inside. I've had authentic chile rellenos; they don't even come close.

    Re: Ponchos

The good thing about Pancho's in college was being able to go there Sundays for lunch and not having to eat again until lunch the next day.

I haven't eaten at one since college, in fact.
