the #s dont include PBS and CSPAN. PBS estimates more than enough margin for Obama to come out on top overall. plus, we all know democrats have more households with 10 people watching one set, so O's #s are underestimated. does that mean he wins?
My first reaction was to reply that my post was tongue-in-cheek, and who really cares, but then I realized that your post was meant to be facetious also...so I'll let it slide. :hihi:
I did watch it. Did BET, et al, show McCain's speech? President vs President instead of President vs VP. I figure you'll know since you keep up with what BET shows and doesn't show. I see that BET has information on the RNC on their website.
Are you serious? Electing whatever president won't do one damn thing about gas prices and you know it. You guess poorly. I've voted for Republican Presidents three times when I felt they were moderates and smart. I've voted for Republicans for Congress before and I voted for Bobby Jindal. But today's republican candidates are often highly partisan mismanagers and apparently not too bright. I'll never vote for the dumber of two candidates again. It is you that I suspect never even considered a Democratic or Independent candidate.
Yep, haven't seen one post of yours criticizing the democrats since I joined this forum. Have asked you and the lack of evidence speaks for itself. Lets just say I'm suspicious of your views like some others on the message board so don't take it personal. We can agree to disagree here. Republicans equal drill while the Democrats equal no drill. Like the Democrats aren't highly partison calling Bush Hitler and saying the war was lost. You were wrong Amigo! Btw: There is plenty of fault and blame to go around on both sides of the aisle. With your last phrase and then mine here I seem like the independant or moderate! Keep in mind I have no problems blaming and pointing out flaws with Republicans but I just don't like the way some people seem to attack one side only. I don't claim to be a moderate or independant so I am a little more partison than most. Well, If you go read my thread titled I'll tell you where I sit before I tell you where I stand the picture will become clear as day to you. When I vote I have a different philosphy than some do including you.
You have selective memory, I have criticized Teddy Kennedy harshly, as well as Jesse Jackson, Edwin Edwards, and Kathleen Blanco, among others. Do a search, if you disbelieve. Here is the deal, and it should have been obvious to you. Since TF has been online, there has been mostly a Republican President, Republican Congress, and Republican Supreme Court. That is why I bash republicans because they have been in charge of one of the worst periods in recent American History. If Obama wins this one and turns out to be some kind of Jimmy Carter, waffler, I'll be on him like white on rice. (Oh chit, now Massa will be on me :grin Here, I'll criticize a democrat for you right now, since the Democrats control the House again. Nancy Pelosi is on the wrong side of the offshore drilling issue and will be forced to reverse herself to remain in power. Watch and wait. Even republicans admit that more US drilling helps decrease our reliance on foriegn oil, which is good, but it will NOT DECREASE GAS PRICES. Oil prices are a worldwide commodity and our oil will cost the same as foreign oil. Do the research. Oh, yes, the war was such a huge success for America. Ja, ve haff vays of schpinning der vahr. Look in the mirror sometime, amigo. You are Mr. Partisan around here.
Anybody can criticize Ted Kennedy but hell you have said it yourself that you hated it when I made you defend him. I wouldn't call Jesse Jackson a real politician. It aint hard to criticize those two amigo. I don't know about Edwards but if I remember right after Katrina you blamed everyone else except for local politicians which I do remember. It was the whole Bush federal government attack from the left. Keep in mind here I wasn't talking just about politicians, talking about policies or lack of! Here is where you are wrong. The democrat congress has been in power for 2 years and I have never seen you criticize them once or their lack of ability to do anything. I think you are wrong here also. Vietnam was 100 times worse than this period of American History. It aint saying much, what is recent? We've had it much better today than our parents and grandparents had in those days. If that happens I'll change my opinion but my opinion and others have wondered if you are who you claim to be or some left winger slinging dirt. Look at what it took to get that out of you. This statement seems rather obvious to me. I'm still suspicous, Is that really the best you could come up with? I agree and disagree. I disagree that prices won't drop, doesn't make sense. Supply and demand always make the prices go up and down. Gas prices aren't the same around the world, if what you are saying is true it seems like gas prices would also be more of the same than different. If you are saying gas prices aint going back down to $2 a gallon then I would agree. You were wrong, the surge worked, even Obama has said that. Like John McCain said, I would rather lose an election than a war. You guys had no problem losing the war, case closed. Go read my posts amigo, I NEVER said i wasn't PARTISAN. I'm just suspicious of certain posters that post the same old partisan stuff from the left and I try and balance that with stuff from the right. Yes, everyone should read my stuff through a filter just like they should with anyone else in this forum. I have no problems of who I am or what I stand for, I do stand for conservative issues, very firmly as you probably know by now. Peace!
WHAT lack of ability? Except for Bush's veto's, they have performed as well or as poorly as the Republican Congress. You speak only for yourself, Sourdough. Stop trying to make it look like you are speaking for everyone just because you are confused. I have made my position crystal clear on every topic. You seem to be blind to the fact that the moderates are to the left of your far right wing position as well as the liberals. Your inability to discern the difference is not my problem. Just can't admit you were wrong, can you? Look, oil prices are exactly the same for oil pumped in Kansas as they are for oil pumped in Kuwait. This is a fact, whether it makes sense to you or not. Oil is a commodity and the worldwide prices of commodities are the same. Why do you think that oil is priced at $120 or whatever? Do you ever hear of Texas oil at $50 and Arabian oil at $150. It can't happen. Prices are fixed by international supply and demand. Oil is not priced on what it costs to produce it, but upon what price the market will bear. My ass. How many times have I stated that we won the war in 21 days? If you think this subsequent Iraq occupation was anything but a foul-up from start to finish, you are burying your head in the sand along with Dubya, who still can't understand why the Iraqis object to being bombed, invaded and occupied. He expected to be proclaimed a hero and liberator!
What should that tell you? Its too bad that you had to resort to name calling and stereo typing. I got $50 that says I criticized my own party more than you have the left since the Dems took control of congress. I don't know what you are talking about here. As far as Iraq, I wish it wouldn't have happened but I won't settle for losing a war.
