Dude it's only socialism when the person advocating it has a D behind their name. Everyone knows that Republicans are for capitalism and when they propose something socialistic like buying mortgages and refinancing them or taking ownership in banks it is not socialsim.

To be clear Democrats = Socialists and Republicans = Capitalists who propose socialist soloutions. There is a difference.

I'm pretty sure both sides screwed us on the "bail out" like I said before. Yes the GOP admin proposed it, but the Dems didn't have to pass a thing. They already control both houses of congress. And I'm pretty sure there were a lot of people registered with both parties who said they didn't like the idea of taking steps towards some socialistic ideas. So please stop trying to point fingers like GOP is the only one who lies to the people and spins things. Both sides do everything in their power to be able to spin a situation to make them look favorable. See my earlier post for clarification.

Yes I am a registered Republican, no I did not support the bailout, no I do not support windfall taxes, even the ones SP uses in Alaska, No I do not support either major party candidate. Both are steps towards socialism in my opinion and I am all about free market. I say let the markets self correct, it will take alot less time to fix that way. I don't think the govt should bail out private citizens when they gamble away their money in the markets or on a boat, I most assuredly don't think they should bail out major corporations for gambling away their money by getting too greedy.

You are preaching to the choir. I see plain as day that both parties are proposing socialistic platforms, but it is the Republicans who bitch and moan loudly about democratic socialistic proposals and then in turn present a platform witth more socialism. Most posters here have that little R behind their name, are blind to this, and will defend their team to the end.

It seems to me that the Democrats are socialists and the Republicans are hypocritical capitalists. There is very little real difference in the end. Both parties are extremely weak.

I just see no need to throw more mud at either side and act like the children that are running both parties. When has name calling and bitterness with each other ever solved any kind of problem.

I see alot of reason to throw a lot of mud at both sides because they both suck. When is the last time either team solved anything of importance?

See that's where we differ. That's just childish in my opinion, and it didn't even work when I was a child. Of course they may have been because I didn't much of an arm:hihi:
