It is spin, because its a windfall tax. Simple as that, she even raised the amount the residents are getting because she raised the taxes. Thats redistribution, no matter how you want to slice it. They are getting oil out of Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and other places. have you seen any checks in your mailbox from the taxes on these companies?

Government on the side of the people is what Cuba has tried for the last 50 years.

Yet another member who can't take the heat. And make no mistake I AM NOT VOTING for obama or McCain.

I just pointed out how both of them are socialistic.

I don't think making a sarcastic qualifies for not taking the heat...

It is now down to $200K and possibly as low as $150K.

The comments about, "Joe the Plummer," not making close to 250K, which was a stretch at first, are now valid if he buys a business that could realistically make 150K.

This is going to scare the crap out of many small businesses/owners who thought they were safe.

If Obama goes down to $150K, we will see a depression.
Why, because a huge number of jobs will be lost when the next minimum wage increase pushes hourly wages over 7 dollars an hour.

    well said

    pretty straight forward to me

give it up turbo....when people support a candidate whose shady friends such as the terrorist who's written a book and dedicated it to sirhan sirhan, and the former plo staff member who said that the israeli state is an abomination and it doesn't make your head spin, nothing will.

reason is lost on the obamatron's. on wednesday thry'll be dancing in the streets shouting that they beat bush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and holding out their hands for a share of your hard earned $$$$$)

Palin taxed the oil company profits and shared the money with the residents since the profits were made from depletion of their natural resources. Everybody wins. That's a hell of a big difference from taxing every business who has the temerity to be successful just so the losers can get a chunk to blow on wine and lottery tickets.
