The noose has become a symbol because of the Jena incident. Prior to that I always thought of old westerns when someone mentioned a noose or tried to make one when playing with a strand of rope. Now, thanks to a few race pimps, we have to be ashamed to even mention "noose" because obviously it means we want to hang slaves. That's just ridiculous but we've allowed a few with an agenda shape our freedoms. Anti-"whatever" displays may be crude, insensitive, or in poor taste but why should they be banned if it's your right to burn an American flag? We can create laws banning certain displays (like a noose) because someone may get their feelings hurt but yet those same ACLU-types have no problem burning a flag or using federal tax dollars to desecrate a cross in the name of "art". Another example of double standards...
You have to be kidding me right? Jena is the reason we think of a noose as hanging??? WTF Like I said in the other thread read some it might help you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lynching With that said this is still under free speech / expression just like burning a flag in protest and just like burning a cross (which I don't ever see people whining about when the KKK did this).
Why didn't you add this thread as well? Were you only trying to show one side of the story? Fair and balanced...:thumb: Read a little more...it may help you! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanging
I wasn't around for KKK lynchings or cross burnings. I would've been offended by both. I believe there should be a law against burning an American flag but I also understand free speech. What I think is absolute B.S. is when we fund so-called "art" with our tax dollars only for someone to make a political statement. If I want football tickets...I buy them. If I want to go to a concert...I buy tickets. If someone wants art...let them pay for it!
If Obama took a public dump on the American flag, Red would accuse the Republicans of placing it on his sh!thole.
There is an epidemic of folks that all want to speak for Red. Don't I speak clearly enough for you? Perhaps it just sounds more convincing if the authoritative and definitive Red were to have said it.
OK. So now you are denying that just about everytime a negative post on your candidate comes up you don't come back with a negative Republican comment? Way to adopt the style of your hero.
Uhhh, that's the way an argument works, Breaux. I don't make up absurd stories about Obama crapping on a flag and Red justifying it. You are just trying to muddy the water. I am the clarifier.
