It will be interesting to see how Rivals rates this guy when it gets around to rating its JUCO prospects.

I could be wrong, but I don't think a kicker can be higher than 3*. Parso? Am I wrong on that?

They could be ranked higher than a 3* but it is very rare.

Well doesn't LSU have only one punter and the rest are place kickers that are trying to punt?

Hope he pans out because the Spring game punting wakes me up at night screaming for Patrick Fisher (in a non-gay way ).

Thank you. A lot of folks seem to be overlooking LSU's weaknesses this season. Punter is a major one. Last year we had a boomer back there, this year we have one that averaged 35 yards in the spring game.

If one doesn't emerge in August, it's just another reason to go for it on 4th down, I guess.

Was it Dalfrey or Alleman that averaged 35 yards per kick? I assume it was Dalfrey since it appears he was probably going to be the starter before Helton was added to the mix. Is either one (Dalfrey or Alleman) a true punter?

Helton looks to be a great kicker. Not but one of his kicks bounced back. He seemed to be pretty consistent with long kicks but the competition did nothing for evaluating ball placement. Hang time was pretty good but no Fisher.

Fisher was a punting God compared to 35 average. If our kickers do not improve then we will have a pretty good indication as to how important giving up that scholarship means.

We benefited well last year from receiving sloppy kicks. Field position is everything.

Some of you guys forget that Fisher actually had a punt for negative yardage in a Spring Game!
