Wouldn't your logic apply to infanticide and, say, killing the elderly?
Neither would throw society into chaos.

I agree with your in a broader sense (not on overt immoral acts like violence) particularly on monetary issues. Take welfare - the argument for it, imo, isn't of some moral sense to help the needy (individuals have a number of opportunities to act on their moral need to help the needy), but to keep political stability and for public health reasons.

killing ordinary non-brain dead elderly surely would cause chaos, because everyone would be terrified of the kill squadron coming to their door. also killing infants who had familes that did not want them killed would of course be awful. not for the babies of course, but because of the parents.

regarding elderly, if they are brain dead and not self aware or if they want to die, then of course, kill them too. that would be great for society. their lives no longer have any value, by any reasonable measure.

life value is definitely relative. it would positively be alot sadder if i died now, than if i died when i was a day old. i cant imagine ever being slightly sad for the death of a fetus. even though i am the same life i was when i was a fetus, my death now would cause much more problems. in fact, if i had died as a fetus it wouldnt really be a big loss for anyone. i am sure my parents would have been just as happy if they had another baby after i died. why wouldnt they?

life value isnt inherent. its only sad when people die because what they brougt to the world is gone.

ultimately my point is that i realize that abortion is killing a human life. i dont buy this insane "human life begins at birth" crap that pro choice people say to make their pro-murder views more palatable. i realize abortion is murder, i just doint think anything is wrong with it.

before i sound like pol pot, let me say that i am of course opposed to murdering any innocent person who has the awareness to realize they dont want to be killed.
