no, this is the exact ONLY thing we cannot handle. terrorists. we can defeat countries easily. we can take over ay country we want. but we cannot stop smaller goups of dudes with bombs and muslim ideas. they can kill us by the thousands, as they demonstrated. we cant leave a place to fester, that is the whole point! how many more terrorist attacks will it take for you to realize this?

The cowards are the sissies who cast insults hiding behind their little keyboards that would get their asses kicked if they said it to a man on the street.

This conversation is over. You are not worthy of debate. You have run out of logic again and are resorting to sad, playground insults because your poor grasp of geopolitics has been exposed.

    Checkmate.

The mission in Korea and Nam was not democracy so you can retract the 'mission' theory.

I don't remember South Vietnam voting 65% for a new Constitution either. So we can't fight a guerilla war ever without somebody bringing up Nam. There are no similarities with the overall. When one brings up Nam it is done so to harken memories of a defeat......defeat at home mind you. We didn't lose one battle in Vietnam. The similarities really stop when you mention Iraq though. These people were freed, the dictator is in prison, they have voted for their new Constitution.....I mean when did all of that happen in Vietnam?

Grow a pair and read a book. It's nothing like Nam my friend. Nam was a hell where our troops were abandoned by the American people. This is not the same thing.

i didnt say you were a coward. i didnt insult you. you might favor retreat for some other reason. if you want, i will say that you have your opinion because you are tough. i am sure you are very tough and beat people up on the street regularly. that is beside the point.

withdrawing is cowardly, and red favors it. red is tough though.

there is a long term solution, and it is to make other countries mjore like america than syria. people want to be like americans and have money and freedom. they may deny it, and not even realize it, but they will eventually. it may be hard to convince them, it may take generations, but eventually people will get tired of praising allah and blowing up trains. we need to lead them there.

Then what was it? Oh wait, stopping the spread of communism? Same thing kid. I'd advise a history class or two, son.
    Yet another similarity.

Domestic approval ratings in both wars have also taken strikingly similar paths.
Haha so now perception of the war and masculinity are now somehow linked, huh? Well then, perhaps you should have enough of a pair to realize that you are wrong.
And? So that guarantees a long-term democratic government and timely exit in Iraq? Try again.
Then tell that to the 3 soldiers that I know who recently returned and have conceded the fact that it very much is. I'm sure you could change their minds.

Whatever........you didn't answer one question. A democratic Iraq that holds elections and voted for their new Constitution at a 65% clip, freedom for women to vote, go to school, hell drive a car, no radical dictator gasing masses and locking up his opponents and killing their families.......yeah, a bunch like Vietnam.

By the way you think and write, I'm at least 10 years older than you so call me Sir.

Liberals are so funny... All you can do is laugh at them, but at the same time cry because of how they came to be.
