Well, here is the order once again: BCSNCG- Florida Sugar- Alabama Capital One- Jawja ^those are pretty much set, since I highly doubt Bama beats Florida in the SECCG. Jawja going to the Capital One IS set since I don't see any way that two SEC teams...even if Florida were to lose to FSU...don't make it to the BCS. After Jawja, it gets fuzzy as there are several teams that have similar records. IMO, Ole Miss comes out on top due to their performance this season, sending them to the Cotton Bowl. After that, it's a fight between LSU and South Carolina for the Outback and Chick-fil-a Bowls. THESE TWO BOWLS DO NOT REQUIRE ANY ORDER FOR THE TWO TEAMS TO BE SELECTED. Since Atlanta is closer to SC, and the matchup with ACC could provide a good regional rivalry, SC is likely to be sent to ATL and LSU to TPA. After that group is Vandy and Kentucky. Both of these teams are 6-5, with Vandy being 4-4 in conference, and Kentucky being 2-5. These two teams will likely be fighting it for the Liberty Bowl and Music City Bowl slots...and to attract $s, the Music City will likely choose Vandy, with Kentucky being sent to Memphis.
A crazy situation: Bama loses back-to-back games in Auburn and Florida. Do they still go to the BCS? Or does Ohio State replace them? (assuming Oregon State beats Oregon)
While you are correct about the eligible teams, I think you are totally wrong if you think anyone on this board wants the Tigers to lose next week or for that matter wanted them to lose today. If you think Arkansas is the worst team in the SEC, then I would argue at this point we are the second worse. If the Tigers don't hire a DC that knows what he is doing it's only going to be worse next season.
If unicorns were to suddenly appear in the sky, crapping rainbows, causing Alabama to lose to Auburn, again assuming they lose to Florida in the SECCG, then Jawja should likely go to the BCS, and Alabama to the Capital One (based on the SEC being favored over the Big Ten).
I'm just sick of all of the nonsense being spewed after every loss about how they'll be 5-7 or 6-6 or whatever the number of the day is...and all of the people saying how they'll lose to Arkansas next week sound like they WANT them to lose next week, despite the fact that LSU WILL be heavily favored. And LSU is not the second worst team in the conference...that is hilarious. Did you forget about Auburn, Tennessee, Mississippi State, among others? Don't let your emotions ruin your ability to see things sanely.
LSU is going to the Petroleum Jelly Bowl in Shreveport. After they lose to Arky on Friday, it's the only bowl any Tiger fans will drive to see. And there won't be many of those. Joe Alleva needs to start making phone calls.
You have apparently not watched any games this season! So, to hear you tell it our defense is doing a worthy job?
Once again, no SEC team will be in the Independence Bowl. Wrong, on multiple accounts. Anytime I can, and it's not conflicting with a PSU game, I watch the LSU game. If you have been here long, I have been one of the more vocal opponents against the Co-DCs since early, early in the season (check my posts, if you don't believe me). I believe they should be fired and sent on their way, and we should get a proven DC. With THAT said, just because of that, doesn't mean there aren't teams doing worse in the SEC (shock, awe). Tell me, would you rather be in Tennessee's position? Auburn's? Mississippi State's? Arkansas'?
We will see what happens Friday but if we don't improve on both sides of the ball by then it will be a long day.
