Him trashing Christianity will become more of a pattern as his second term comes to an end, his true muslim flag is about to fly......and if it's not on the teleprompter he's reading verbatim it won't make it into any speech. Our fearless leaders remarks yesterday? Basically he said burning that pilot alive was no big deal because Christians did the same during the crusades like 1500 years ago. What a joke. We can either drop major bombs on these fuckers now or wait til were fighting them with our own guns on our own streets
I don't see anything wrong with what he said. He conveniently left out the fact that Christians grew the hell up a long time ago and stopped being barbarians, something dumb ass muslims can't seem to do, but technically he is correct. Even so though, giving his name and ethnicity, I don't think that's something I would have said if I were him. I hope he ad-libbed that part because if I'm on his staff that speech writer gets fired for that one. I do have to give his wife credit for showing up in Saudi Arabia and not putting anything over her head. That was pretty cool.
American women pilots stationed in Saudi Arabia can fly planes but they aren't allowed to drive cars because women aren't allowed to drive in that backward pile of sand. I don't know if they have to wear a scarf on their head in public but I would hope to hell not.
can you separate Christianity from the Klan? or the Third Reich? Were we at war with Christianity when we fought the Germans in WW2? Of course not, we were at war with a regime who perverted the teachings of Christianity for their own political gain. This isn't a new phenomenon. To say we are at war with Islam is foolish. We are at war with terrorists who are nothing more than murderers, friend. I don't adhere to any religion but I try not to begrudge those who do. That said, I believe the vast majority of those who practice some kind of religion do so with the best of intentions. Islam is no different. I share your desire to hear more condemnation from the moderate Muslim world but I am unwilling to paint them all with a broad stroke.
He didn't trash Christianity. Far from it. Why I expect some kind of reason or logic from you....I don't know. That said, Obama was clearly referencing the fact that just as a small sect of Muslims are now giving all of Islam a bad name.....there was a time when a small band of Christians committed atrocities in the name of Christ, and gave Christianity a bad name for a while. Do you even realize that these terrorists organizations have killed far more Muslims than Christians? That Jordanian pilot was a Muslim. Obama was asking for us to be patient with the moderate Muslim world....not trashing Christianity. Further, he never came close to endorsing what ISIS did to the poor Jordanian pilot.....far from it.
In his bestselling book "Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy", biographer Eric Metaxas devotes a chapter to the intersection between Nazi propaganda and Christian theology. One sometimes hears that Hitler was a Christian. He was certainly not, but neither was he openly anti-Christian, as most of his top lieutenants were. What helped him aggrandize power, he approved of, and what prevented it, he did not. He was utterly pragmatic. In public he often made comments that made him sound pro-church or pro-Christian, but there can be no question that he said these things cynically, for political gain. In private, he possessed an unblemished record of statements against Christianity and Christians. Hitler’s attitude toward Christianity was that it was a great heap of mystical out-of-date nonsense. But what annoyed Hitler was not that it was nonsense, but that it was nonsense that did not help him get ahead. According to Hitler, Christianity preached “meekness and flabbiness,” and this was simply not useful to the National Socialist ideology, which preached “ruthlessness and strength.” In time, he felt that the churches would change their ideology. He would see to it. Martin Bormann and Heinrich Himmler were the most passionately anti-Christian members of Hitler’s inner circle, and they didn’t believe the churches should adapt or could. They wanted the clergy crushed and the churches abolished, and they encouraged Hitler along these lines whenever possible. They hoped to accelerate the timetable for open warfare with the church, but Hitler was in no hurry. Whenever he attacked the churches, his popularity waned. Unlike his top men, Hitler had an instinctive political sense of timing, and now was not the time to take on the churches directly. Now was the time to pretend to be pro-Christian. Hitler’s architect, Albert Speer, was a firsthand witness to Hitler’s coldblooded approach: “Around 1937, when Hitler heard that at the instigation of the party and the SS vast numbers of his followers had left the church because it was obstinately opposing his plans, he nevertheless ordered his close associates, above all Göring and Goebbels, to remain members of the church. He too would remain a member of the Catholic Church, he said, although he had no real attachment to it.” Germany was not invading the rest of Europe and Russia on the basis of religion. ISIS wants a world wide ISLAMIC Caliphate.
You are an idiot. Where has anyone once mentioned painting them all with a single stroke? I CLEARLY STATED RADICAL ISLAM. READ BRO
That's exactly what I've been doing. I use the word islamist for a reason. It means those who seek to impose fundamentalist islamic views on others by force.
