Neither do many of these terrorists. It is an excuse for political change in a region where there are not enough jobs for over half of the young males. With few prospects for advancement, idle youths get involved in something exciting. When they don;t have us to fight, they fight each other. It has been like this for millennia.
The terrorists are Muslim. That fact should not be erased from the record book. Boko Haram, ISIL, Al Qaeda, Hezbollah, Charlie Hebdo, Boston Marathon bombings, 911, World Trade Center bombing. All Muslim acts and organizations. All inspired by radical Muslim clerics. All in the name of Allah. Obama is trying to soften America's tone to gain favors in the Mid East. He is trying to separate the good Muslims from the bad ones and there certainly are good peace loving Muslims. However, they should not be blind to the fact that their child is online right now being radicalized by another Muslim.

Persians and Arabs hate each other and neither like the Pakistanis. They throw together to fight outsiders, then return to fighting each other. There is an endless list of such wars. Look it up. I won't even begin to list all of the examples. Agreed. I don't think anybody is unaware of this. Also agreed. I just don't think anybody is blind to the fact that the islamist terrorists are muslims. If we are to divide and conquer (an old and proven strategy) . . . and if we expect to have muslims with us in this fight, which is essential, we have to target the terrorists ruthlessly while maintaining basic respect for the religion of our allies. The propaganda war is this: ISLAMISTS: America is at war with Islam. All muslims must join the fight against them. USA: America is at war with Middle Eastern terrorists who attack us, not with their religion. Many righteous muslims are with us in this fight. Clearly, Obama needs to be promoting American foreign policy interests here, and he is.
We are In fact at war with radical Islam. No reason to dance around it like you and Obama do. Just like we would be at war with and radical religion that did similar things. Not sure why you cannot separate Islam from radical Islam.
sounds to me like he trashes the entirety of christianity while walking on eggshells when it comes to islam. and this has been his repeated pattern. where is the speech for the need for reformation of islam like he did here. id like to see it. doesnt exist.
