I wouldn't doubt that at this point. K-State is flying under the radar some...well, they're starting to get recognized now, but they're still likely to be over-looked compared to Nebraska and Mizzou.
Sucks for them, as long as we are still unbeaten, its all meaningless to me. Everyone/team, and some point and time, is faced a controversial call by the refs. Geaux Tigers.
This is the play were Iglesias caught the ball in the ground. They called it a catch and 1st down then they reversed it, right? From the videos they showed on TV there wasn't enougth evidence to over turn the call on the field. The only thing I could think of is that the box had more camera angles. That call isn't what lost the game for them. OU sucked and they lost it themselves. 56yds in the 2nd half? They blew something like a 24-7 lead.
Yes, that's the one. There were no angles, that I saw, that indicated that it should have been reversed. The ball never appeared to touch the ground. He appeared to have both hands between the ground and the ball. That call was a huge momentum changer.
I don't see how they could call that definitive evidence. In every replay it looked like the ball never touched the ground.
It was a terrible reversal, IMO. Granted, I was kind of happy about it, but bad call. It seems like more and more replays are reviewed in Bizarro world. Whenever there's definitive evidence, they say there's not and let calls stand. And then when there's no evidence at all, plays get overturned. NFL and college. That may just be my perception from watching a lot of games, so who knows.
Same with me. I was cheering about the reversal, but at the same time shaking my head in disbelief. Terrible reversal.:dis:
