1. The loser gets to play at 1:00 tomorrow. I guess it's better than 10.
  2. Wow. UGA in the losers bracket.
  3. This is great news for LSU fans with Georgia losing.

    That coveted top 8 seeding will more than likely go to only 1 SEC team.
  4. If both UGA and LSU win tomorrow, they will face each other (right?).
  5. ga can still win the tourney but the road just got harder.

    but im with you in that its still great news. :thumb:
  6. Can somebody please explain how the brackets work?
  7. I will give it a shot.

    If LSU beats Vandy tomorrow, we head over to the other bracket and play the winner of the losers side of that bracket (e.g., Georgia). That team would then have to beat LSU back to back games to advance. With LSU winning one of those 2 games, LSU would advance to the championship game.

    If LSU loses to Vandy, LSU would play the winner of SC vs Florida. If LSU wins that game, we must then beat the winner from the other bracket (e.g., Ole Miss) twice to proceed to the championship game.

    Anyone able to confirm this?
  8. No..

    Say Bama wins the game tonight (They lead 3-2 in the 3rd)

    Tomorrows winner's bracket has these two games.

    Game 7 -LSU-Vandy
    Game 8- Bama-Ole Miss

    Let's say LSU and Bama win.

    Loser's bracket

    Game 5 - USC-Florida->USC
    Game 6 - UGA-Kentucky->UGA

    Game 9 - Vandy-USC ->Vandy
    Game 10 - UGA-Ole Miss->UGA

    The brackets then switch sides.

    Game 7 winner plays the Game 10 winner: LSU-UGA
    Game 8 winner plays the Game 9 winner: Bama-Vandy

    This is new to this year I think so there is more variety in the games.

    I hope that wasn't too confusing.
  9. Here is the bracket. You can sort of figure it out by looking at it (pdf)
  10. I made a correction to the part about LSU losing, we would play the winner from the other bracket (e.g, Ole Miss), not Vandy.
