Xavier Carter may be faster than Skyler. We shall see. He has lots of potential, potential means you ain't done it yet !

Yeah, hes only the most decorated high school track athlete, EVER. XC will definitely be the fastest player on our team, and I honestly cant think of anyone else in the nation I would think is faster. However, it will be very early in the season, so I dont think he will see the field too much in this one.

XC will be faster over 100 yards but I doubt if he would be able to outrun Skyler in 40, especially 20, and that's where speed is the most important in football. A lot of people do not realize how fast Skyler is over 10, 20, 30 and 40 yards, maybe just the fastest in the nation, we'll never know but his punt returns tell a lot of the story. Now I know XC is very, very fast but so is Skyler and so was devery in the forty, so IMO the focus and emphasis on speed won't change LSU's outlook, how opposing teams defense us, play calling, etc. Now, if XC can get up to top speed faster than Skyler can that would be different but his best events are the 200 and 400 and that usually translates into a little slower start. I didn't see any news on him running the 60 meter dash in the indoor meets, did anyone else.

Plus, XC may not start, probably won't start and he'll be battling Early as well as Hill, David and Addai andmaybe even Webster.

And XC isn't the most decorated track star in the country's history, he tied to others for the most wins in Florida high school history but didn't set the records in the 100 like Houston McTear did when he was in Florida or like Carl Lewis did when he was a high schooler. He is blazing fast and stronger than both of those guys as evidenced by being able to do the triple and the best thing about him is he's a football player.
