What a pathetic LSU fan you are, @TigerTap. The week of the LSU- Alabama game, and you are on here posting some crap article about the HC of your own team. Where is your allegiance? Where is your support? And then you include a quote from Saban, our opponent's current coach, that is not related to the article itself. What kind of fan does this to their own team? Unlike you, I don't take Saban's quote offensively. I take his quote to mean that losing to Troy only lit the fire under this LSU team, thus the comment "the worst thing that happened to SEC teams was LSU losing to Troy". Troy awakened the Tigers, and now they are beating SEC teams. That is what Saban means.
Well IDK I'm getting to a point where I'm just like who else is out there? Theyre no Sabans out there nor any Urban Meyers. Even Harbrogh struggling in Big 10. Florida fired Jim Mcelwain after 3 seasons and Tennessee has been through what like 4 coaches in the past 12 years. Arkansas brought in Bielema and he turned out to be a dud. I guess that's why these ADs get paid the big money. So who's the real blame at all of these programs? Is it all of their ADs or is it just getting harder for a guy like Miles to compete? Is it just the paridy in college football?
Bama’s coach has won multiple NCs. If Eaux starts winning NCs, he’ll get a bump in pay. There aren’t many coaches in the upper tier, and the rest of the CFB coaching world doesn’t warrant Saban money. It may be more expensive to recruit at Tuscaloosa than BR due to proximity of candidates, but I doubt it’s 3x. It doesn’t really seem like we skimp on recruiting, though. As far as Alleva hiring for football bass-ackwards, it can be argued that this was a gutsy and innovative hiring process instead of following the traditional Saban model. That remains to be seen, unless you’re rearing Miles’ love children and just can’t force an ounce of objectivity.
