I can say the answer to that with 99%+ certainty because the odds against any coach not named Saban or Meyer are almost impossible to rise to this level in such a short amount of time if at sllm. Especially given the obstacles put in his way both by Alleva and circumstance. Even Dabo Swinney took much longer to get Clemson to where they are now. You should be thankful that there was no coaching search. Otherwise it is highly probable that one of those other coaches would have been the choice. I am more than willing to accept the embarrassments of Troy and Mississippi State to get to where we are now.
You would have said the same about O; as was stated, no way of knowing. I think Jimbo and Herman screwed up not taking the LSU job. The state of TX might have more shit with them than the state of LA; mo money, mo problems.
