Although you could point to many, to me, the pivotal play in the game on Saturday that showcased Brady's influence on this offense the most was the touchdown pass to CEH right before the half. Go back and re-watch the highlights of that play and look at how confused Bama's secondary is trying to figure out who to guard. It's a thing of beauty. Saban's defenses have always been susceptible to backs out of the back field and Brady exploited it to a T. Again, depending on different opinions/points of view there are probably other plays like this that people can point to, but that one was mine.
Yep I'd agree with that. And the first play of the last TD we scored, Burrow fakes a QB draw up the middle and completes a 30 yard pass to Chase.
That was like the Nick Marshall play from 2013. I’ve heard Gary Danielson talk about how Nick Saban talks about that play being the turning point in how college football is schemed.
I absolutely love Coach O. The process was shit and its pure damn luck that Coach O was way better than we all thought. Of course he has not won a damn thing yet besides beating Alabama, so lets not crown anyone just yet IMO.
Is that not exactly how it played out? I've yet to see anyone offer a different path than the one that was taken I agree, this could have gone a lot worse
Well that is because you were part of the Les Miles apologist society. They have disbanded from what I understand and that leaves only taint. He will never let go.
Yeah, I agree. Not angry, but dissatisfied with the process. However, @shane0911, as you allude to, there were several moving parts and significant risks to not making a firm, quick decision. Still, it seemed Alleva didn’t have a good plan or search process in place. Lucky for him, and us, Oeaux has worked out beautifully. Once we hired him, I was of the opinion to support him and give the man a chance. He’s shown now that he’s matured as a coach and is up to the task.
