Utah beat Bama before Saban was able to get a full few years of his recruits. Ole Miss beat Bama with a far better QB than LSU has had in years, and got lucky barely beating Bama playing Madden style football.
And I think the QB has been our missing link. Our Offense under Miles could have worked, we just needed a person to make the throws. Yet, Miles recruited JJ and people like JJ for some reason. Was his greatest mistake. Dude could have won soo much more.
Weak a very weak comeback. So teams get "lucky" beating Saban but O just sucks. So your excuse for Utah beating Saban is he didn't have enough time to get HIS recruits but NO excuse for O's loss to Troy with Miles recruits not even HIS own recruits. This along with O not yet even having one freaking year of HIS recruits. You defy logic.
LSU couldn't beat Saban under Miles who without a doubt recruited better than O... what do you think?
Miles recruited smaller but quick linemen on both sides of the ball. They would end up getting pushed around by Bama's monster men by the end of the game. Sometimes from the beginning. See 2015 whenever Fournette ran the ball. Oeaux has begun to rectify that and hopefully our bigger guys will be able to hold their own.
Jesus O hasn't recruited yet. This year is his 1st official year as a head coach and his 1st class that he is totally responsible for. Give him the same time Saban got. For Christ sakes O's first year was better than Saban's first and third years at LSU.
Since Miles was fired 4 games into the 2016 season, I guess I was under the impression O was the head coach for the remainder of the 2016 season, and the entire 2017 season, wtf was I thinking? Guess this is his 1st year of recruiting instead of his 3rd class depending on how you look at it.
He was officially the interim coach and nobody thought he would get the job on a full time basis. The 2018 class is the second that he has recruiting.
