I hear what you are saying about the Ok-Ok State winner going to the Championship game. But if its Oklahona, I would have a hard time forgetting about that loss in Norman to Texas Tech.
I have heard the pundits say this because of our lead in the BCS that rivals that of "the greatest team of all time" (that's '03 OU, ha!). They lost their conference championship game and got in. That being said, we've won two BCSNC's in the past decade, but we haven't gone undefeated since '58. It's long overdue.
This would be their big negative, but I think they overcome it in a scenario where LSU is the #1 and they face either bama, oregon, or OU for the title. The voters would quite possibly and probably vote OU over bama and oregon to avoid the rematch and give OU a shot at knocking off LSU. I could be wrong as people have mentioned that they would probably be the weaker team of the 3, but those in-season losses to LSU will hurt both Bama and Oregon when it comes to decision time.
Well this game becomes really huge tomorrow. If Oregon beats USC 51-17, all bets are off for Bama ending up #2 in the BCS.
I want to win out and beat OU in the title game. Then have the final AP and Coaches polls to look like this: 1. LSU 2. BAMA 3. OREGON 4. ARKIE 5. OU
