The arguments in this thread against transgenders or women in our military are STUPID.

Let me list the ways:

- The argument that transgenders shouldn't be allowed because many of them are wanting the government to pay their sex changes is STUPID. Why? Because the matter of allowing them in is a separate matter from paying for their medical expenses. It would have been perfectly OK for Trump to say those sorts of medical operations will not be covered; it is NOT OK, and probably not constitutional, for him to discriminate on the basis of sexual identity. Those are two separate issues.

- The argument that women shouldn't be allowed in combat roles because the military is an institution for killing is STUPID. Why? Because there are all sorts of arbitrary bases upon which service lines could be drawn. For example, can all men run 4 minute miles? Absolutely not, so does that automatically mean that those incapable men should not be allowed in? It doesn't take a man to pull the trigger on a rifle. It doesn't take a man to play sniper. It doesn't take a man to set off a bomb or to drive a tank. And it doesn't take a man to want to serve the country in any of those capacities.

 

There are standards for men and standards for women because women are naturally weaker. Thats a problem.

Yes, standards people can't meet should disqualify you. There are TONS of medical reasons that make people unable to join.

Mental health should be at the top of that list.

To answer your question, yes, men who cannot me the run times get processed out. For good reason.

 

Beck is a woman. I'm sorry you're own deep seeded bigotry can't allow you to see that. It's all good though, still have family that can't come to grips with the fact that they can't or don't have any say or any valid opinion when it comes to other people either.

 

Not to mention the military pays 5 times as much for viagra than it does for any transgender operations or surgeries. This has nothing to do with money. And everything to do with using the money as a pretty little package to wrap up bigotry and tap into the bigotry of the voters who put this piece of trash into the White House.

 

Beck is not a woman either genetically or physiologically. Does he have ovaries? Does he have breasts that secrete? Is he capable of pregnancy? Is he capable of menstration?

I really take offense to being called a bigot. I also take offense at people who claim a gender simply because they have a mindset or surgery. It's like somebody going to the tanning salon, getting dreadlocks, and then saying they understand what it's like to be black. Beck is not a woman and cannot understand the experience of being a woman.

What makes somebody's opinion more valid than another? You have your take and I have mine. Your opinion is no more valid than mine.

The fact is that people with psychological and sexual identity issues have more psychological and behavioral issues and struggles. The cost of mental health care and pharmacological care in dealing with that is higher than the population in general.

Anyone who thinks Trump's decision is driven solely by bigotry, then must admit that Obama's interest in putting gays and transgenders in the military is nothing more than a sociological politically correct petri dish. The military is not the place to play that experiment out.

Your "cost of mental health care and pharmacological care" rationale is pure nonsense because Trump's prohibition was issued against ALL transgendered persons, period, automatically, whether or not they need or even ask for such care. And here's a bit of advice... if you take offense at being labeled a bigot then you should stop speaking like one.

 

Tell me right now what the average monthly cost is that the military spends on mental health in physiological costs associated with transgenders in the military. I happen to know what that is.
