    OK, good.

I knew we were going to open up the offense, but 15 attempts each per game would certainly result in some serious Alley Broussard transfer talk...

with my deep understanding of the skills of JR, MF and RP, I say HCLM should make it clear that JR is the starting qb. only if he really stinks it up should MF or RP replace him.

Coach Miles knows better than to leave a QB controvery after last season. Russell will be named the starter a week before the N. Texas game.

Perrilloux will get to see some action in the N Texas game (assuming we get a comfortable lead), but it won't be what the fans want to see. The coaches are going to ease him into it & let him hand the ball off a few times. Depending on how he's excelled at practice, he might get to run a few plays throwing the ball, maybe even a scatter play, but he's not going to be able to run the offense full throttle right off the back. He's going to look like an okay quarterback & just use it as a learning experience.

Of course those that have seen him play swear that he'll be able to come in & command the offense from the get-go. I hope he is that talented but it's hard to imagine.

Eventually in the season, Perrilloux will be used to mix up the offense & throw some different things at the defense. Flynn will most likely stay a backup, only playing when we've got comfortable leads, for the whole year. He's got the head & I think he could be a good QB, but I think there's just too much athletic ability around him for him to be the starter.

    If if if,

If JR plays half as well as I believe he can, he starts all season long.

MF comes off the bench first to get his chance to show he is the main back-up.

RP sees a lot of mop up duty to prep him to compete for the job in 06.

If JR struggles and I don't think he will, but if he does MF should still be the guy coming off the bench first.

if they both struggle then we all better meet at little sisters of the poor for some serious prayer meetings(provided the supreme clowns court hasn't made it illegal).

Thanks for the info regarding redshirts. As Johnny Carson used to say, "I did not know that."
