Must be manstrating... l didn't say l wanted control over what was done... l think its a dumbass idea to begin with. edit to add: lf you are gonna do it, why not do it right. Sounds like the billboard was put in a dumbass location.
Literally across the street from their stadium is a "dumbass location"???? What WOULD be a non-dumbass location? On their campus?! ....how about in their quad? Did you even gather the facts about where the billboard was, counciler? Did you SEE the link to the video footage that showed precisely where the billboard was? If not, then how can you make an arguement that it was in a "dumbass" location???
I don't think so. Half of one of my softball teams are composed of lawyers--and one's a judge--and what I said was quoting one of them!
By the way, the billboard appears to be getting the attention of the USC fans. They say it's in a terrible location. Yet nearly half of all threads on there forums are now about the billboard, not about USC athletics.
Wow, now that's twice you've manipulated the argument to demonize me. What the hell is your problem? I never mentioned a damn thing about race once, so stop putting words in my mouth again!!! Type into google define:bigot and read the definition. Twisted made a gross generalization about people who received money after the hurricane. He made no distinction that indeed there were some people who were down and out, who are normally employed, pay taxes etc. and those who are perpetually on welfare. If you can't see that then I can't help you. By the way, the viscious attack comment wasn't aimed at you SF. Okie, thanks for your contributions and I'm sorry for your loss and anybody else for that matter. I just hope people can appreciate that perhaps some people here have a different perspective on the principals of this billboard. And I think it is my business to express my opinion because I am an LSU alum and a former resident of LA who wants very badly to demonstrate to D.C. and the rest of America the best image possible in light of these trying times.
You can call a pig a horse but it's still a pig. I showed you how to spell vicious. I did, and got this:
You need to take a deep breath and calm down, I never said everyone down there is worthless nor that everyone is on welfare. I was born in New Orleans, have friends and family that still live there and had some of those relatives stay with me for quite a while. I said those that did not work before Katrina and those who have not worked since should not constantly be handed money, you must feel guilty if you see yourself as included in that group. There is nothing to revise or apologize about. Once again I was not talking about those that were working before Katrina and are now working to get their lives back on track. However there is no denying that a large population of people that lived off of others before Katrina have used this disaster to siphon even more money off of hard working tax payers. If you are not in that group good for you and I hope you get things back on track soon. If you are in that group shame on you, that would explain your guilt complex and the feeling that you are being grouped in with them.
