My post and the data had nothing to do with football. Duh. It was about the minor sports which are nice and all but nobody really gives a shit. Maybe basketball and baseball register a 4 on the meter but for the most part, bragging rights die off quickly and outside the conferences, other fans don't care. And it still doesn't change the fact that Bama is not a player at that table.

Basketball a 5 for UCLA, maybe 4 for Arizona and a 3 1/2 for Oregon in very recent seasons. Baseball used to be 5 for USC and 0 for everybody else. I don't know about USC now because they haven't been on the national stage for a pretty good while now. Probably a 5 for Oregon State since they won 2 and were in the CWS last year and they suck at football and basketball. Or are you talking about a 10 point scale? Would be 10 for football at USC and Oregon and less for everybody else. Probably no less than 8.

Then why, pray tell, are you bringing it up in this thread with your reference to Stanfords titles.

Alabama would have a lot more titles if stock car racing was a college sport.
