The question was $1 Million that nobody knew about or $50 with the publicity. If everybody knew you had the $50Mil you would for sure have to pay taxes on it. Still the better option. If you have $40 Million to invest there's something wrong with you if you can't do better than 3%.
I just used 3% for easy math. That's a $1.2 million a year return, or $100k a month. Setting up security and privacy on that would be easy.
