But Witch Doctor was credited to David Seville. The high pitched voice was supposed to be the witch doctor. It was only after The Christmas Song (with all squeaky voices) was released and became a hit and credited to The Chipmunks that people started erroneously crediting Witch Doctor to David Seville and the Chipmunks. It was only later on the TV cartoon that Alvin (like Diana Ross and Beyonce) rose to prominence and they became Alvin and The Chipmunks.

Hey, I was a child at the time and I kept up with this shit. I got a record player on my 4th birthday. It's like an analog iPod but a lot bigger with moving parts.

Ahhh, the 80's. One of my favorites here, although technically, M.H. was a 2-hit wonder. He sang the role of Judas on the album version of Jesus Christ Superstar and got on the charts with the title song.

Great song especially the extended version. A play on Bangkok's nightlife described through the game of chess. I mean how can any nerd not love this song?

Great trivia here. On this song the music was composed by former ABBA members Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, and its lyrics were written by Tim Rice and Ulvaeus. This is quite possibly the last hit music composed by ABBA.

For a middle aged man you know way too much about the Chipmunks.

What is this "record player" of which you speak? You have been watching too much Star Trek. It will be at least 100 years before science can make something like that

Strawberry Alarm Clock - Incense and Peppermints

The Amboy Dukes - Journey to the Center of the Mind Ted Nugent was in the band but I don't think the Amboy Dukes had any other hits

The Electric Prunes - I Had Too Much to Dream Last Night
