You are aware of previous posts on this forum that pointed out that Rivals is owned by Alabama alumni right?

Seriously why does anyone click on ahything there? Even if they are right it drives their hit count up, which in turn allows them to get more sponsors, etc. etc..

there is the chance they are wrong, it's all opinion like the AP poll that elected USC National champs in 03.....

there are other similar sites that one can go to to support.

The point is.. a knowledgeable writer predicted the regression of our offense.. and he was right on the money.

Lee is the upperclassman and apparently the better fundamental QB... but he got benched for JJ, didn't he? My point was that if JJ gets benched for Lee or for whoever, that doesn't bother me, just like it didn't bother me when Lee got benched for JJ. If someone isn't performing, they get benched. And despite Crowton's great past, it won't bother me if we get a new OC next year. What I'm saying is I think it is childish to go try to trash somebody's past just because they aren't doing good this year... whether it be Crowton, JJ, Lee or whoever.

If that's really what you see, you're not very perceptive.

Gary Crowton has six or seven games left to get this offense in gear, or else he's toast. He knows where he is. And if CLM likes his job, you can bet he's already started a short list of potential replacements for OC.

BTW, did y'all read this from the Times Picayune's James Varney?:

Florida's domination was evident even when the clock wasn't running. During a television time out before LSU took over on its 14 with 2:37 remaining in the third quarter, the LSU band struck up a tune to inspire the crowd. But Gators defenders -- staring directly at the LSU student section -- began to dance along the line of scrimmage. :nope:

Sad. Here's the whole story, if you're interested. Top-ranked Florida Gators had an undeniable advantage over LSU Tigers | LSU Tigers Central - - NOLA.com

my definition of "benched" is during the season. when you start a new season try outs begin again and USUALLY the job is open....

Lee should have been benched middle of LAST YEAR. he was awful.

I dont have a problem with pulling JJ to see if Lee has improved, but chances are that won't happen if Miles maintains his normal routine. it would suprise me if he did, not so much that I expect Lee to burn it up, but I'd like to see Miles pull a player and talk to him, let him think rather than go happy feely Kumbaya all season like nothing is wrong and we can fix it if it is.

Also Salty and others aren't "trashing" Crowton this is a discussion board, it IS what it IS.... you can do that here.
They are expressing their doubts as fans, giving others an opinion, or some food for thought.

I doubt Crowton reads this and if he does he should put on some big girl panties, why worry about him now if you wont be next year if he leaves? he still has the same family and is the same likable guy even if he leaves LSU.

I think Lee would have benefited greatly if he could have been spelled briefly throughout the games for a play or two at a time, and see the defense from a different perspective. JJ would gain the same benefit this year too. The game looks scary when a tsunami of meat is flying your direction. It's hard to think X's & O's, you just want to survive and not screw up.

Flynn was older but having a break 4-5 times/game undoubtedly helped him. It would be nice to see some of this, but we seem to be an either/or sort of team.

It seems like we also hear how difficult his system is for a new quarterback to learn. Sort of ties to what you said, don't you think?

the more I hear and see about Florida's team and they way they are coached and play the less I like them. Tubberville comes to mind. I know some people wont think this is anything but I sincerely HOPE LSU players have more class than this. You see it all the time in the NFL sadly it has become the norm.

Fairly good article, but it didn't tell us anything we don't already know.
