Okay, I read an article on Nola.com this morning that said he was facing the crowd, along w/DWhite, to fire them up and said some expletive. He wasn't directing it at OM, but the crowd, however, the ref misinterpreted it as disrespecting OM.
Apparently, he was yelling at the crowd to fire them up, it just appeared he was yelling at OM bench. An expletive was heard, and the ref threw a flag misinterpreting the sequence as disrespecting OM.

Still bullshit call imo... Do you know how much cursing and shit goes on out there... And to affect the game like that... Fuck that ref... Then on the flip side, look at the one that didn't get called when our guy got blindsided on a crack back block when the runner was already out of bounds... So he can 'protect' the OM bench from getting their feelings hurt but can't do the same for a player actually getting creamed...
