Re: Miles Dismisses 3 Players I HOPE THE OTHER SEC COACHES GOT THE NOTEBOOK OUT AND TOOK NOTES ON HOW TO DEAL WITH SITUATIONS LIKE THIS. ALLA PHAT PHIL.
Re: Miles Dismisses 3 Players Don't hold your breath (By the way, Phil doesn't have a notebook, he's still using clay tablets )
Re: Miles Dismisses 3 Players nope, those guys would end up starters. dont feel too bad for them, though. theyll pop up somewhere else.
Re: Miles Dismisses 3 Players No, but Meyer did. Hey, at UF they would have been suspended for half of a quarter. Double or nothing one of them ends up there.
Re: Miles Dismisses 3 Players Great Les Miles Quote Miles is surprising me more and more every year. Making all the right moves and his intensity and passion for the game are becoming more evident. That is evereything Tiger fans could hope for and it rubs off on the players and we see these qualities on the field. It is going to be a fun season in Death Valley.:geauxtige http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/7113526.html
Re: Miles Dismisses 3 Players Zhamal Thomas (4 Star) was the best OL in LA. in 2006 according to Rivals. He would have played this year, might have even nailed down a Starting job. Giddens would have played as well. Anderson recently moved from TE to OL. This really hurts LSU on the OL. However, I think coach Miles did the right thing, and I don't think he took it lightly.
Re: Miles Dismisses 3 Players I will give props to Miles. Tough action to take, but it leaves no question to the others on the team about who is in charge. Doesn't matter how hard you try, someone will get into trouble sooner or later. For the others who might be on the edge, I bet their decision to screw it up just went to later. I like to laud CTT for his hammer with the extra long suspensions (e.g. Blackmon), but it may turn out that Miles' hammer is evening bigger.
Re: Miles Dismisses 3 Players It is a shame but Miles did what he had to do. I don't feel any sympathy for Giddens or Thomas. What they did requires a criminal mentality. I feel a bit more sympathy for Anderson. He let his anger get the best of him, but he did not exhibit a criminal mentality.
