There's not a good choice on the poll Sabanfan. So I elected not to vote. Another choice should have been. Play the Qb who is most effectual at the time.

I feel JR should start unless he becomes ineffectual or hurt.
there are times when he should sit. When the score is lopsided or when he is hurt or when the game needs some sort of spark. I cant say when that has happened. At this point I'd have to go back through every game. And even then, I might say well here is where he could have been relieved were you might think well not yet.

I think the coaches aren't that far off of what needs to be done as far as naming a starter though.

Every Tom dick and harry would have done it different. At some point we have to let the coach be the coach. So would Flynn have been better? At times I am sure he would have. At times. His mobility may have "fit" a play or a series or a whole game. who can say?

Overall though in the grand scheme of things? I think we have the guy in there that gives us the best chance to win. He has a few maturity problems as referenced to where I had hoped he would be by now. Mainly because I expect more from him than most fans. It could be I have him overated, but I don't think so. I think the ability is there. He is getting better though, and he is pretty dahm good now.

Overall I am pleased with his performance, there's still time for him to improve. All he lacks is a little Lagniappe. :wink: a little spit and polish here and there.... those intangibles we can't put on paper that come with expereince.
Just think if he matures and comes back his Sr. year. with his physical ability, we could go undefeated. C'mon man don't say you haven't thought of it. admit it. Why do you think I am so anxious to see him in that Vince Young media Hiesman role? Because it brings the NC back to BR and LSU. :geauxtige and Geaux JR.

I think if he comes back next year he will go down as the greatest QB in Tiger history. As a fifth year senior, he will be lights out. With the home schedule next year, it is going be exciting. Oh by the way, I think JR is the QB we should be playing.

I purposely did not include those options because I wanted to know who thought JR was the best choice. Period. There's been a lot of criticism this week and I suspected that the really anti JR people, the ones who want him on the bench in favor of Flynn, were very few in number. Turns out I was right. Best I can figure, it's islstl, CripTeamKATT, roygu and David Duke.

Then you wouldn't get honest opinions. I edited my post because Crip has been an obvious JR detractor.

Right I guess we dont like JR because he is black, since you choose to include David Duke in that list.

Shouldnt even have this poll. JR is 21-4 as a starter and in the top 5 in the nation in passing efficiency.
