I think Jamarcus Russell:

Have fully supported JR from the beginning. He is the starting qb until he decides to leave for the NFL.

I would vote if you had an option for get Flynn a little more in the mix and see how he does. I think Russell's upside is amazing and he gives us something very few ever could, but he hasn't played a consistent full game against a solid d since he's been here.

he is hands-down the only choice... and is hands-down one of the best QBs in the country...

He has 6-7 ints on the year, and I can think of at least 4 times where the ball was dropped into the DBs hands

I think JR is our best QB right now. There are little things, that really need to be corrected, and they are coachable. His physical abilities are unmatched. I have to think that he can only get better. If he stays another year, MF will probably not play again for LSU. Then we have to hope RP is ready to step up, and show us what he can do.LSU!

    The choice

    (4) Realizes JR is the best QB option for LSU but needs to improve, and certainly isn't immune to criticism

is not on there. So, I picked 1).

No, you don't learn to take a sack....you learn to throw the ball away. I can't say when is the last time I have seen JR do that.

    Here is the straight rub:

Flynn has only 1 game we can base any kind of substantial analysis of how he might play if he was the starter this season.

And that's the Miami game. One of the very best defenses in the nation last year. And he shined. Smart decision making, accurate arm, and maneurability in the pocket as well as running downfield with the ball.

I'll go on record as saying had Flynn been given the starting nod in the summer LSU would be undefeated right now.

Would have been interesting to see the results of this poll just before the Tennessee game.

JR was responsible for 80 percent of the turnovers in that game. Not sure if you noticed that.
