Del Rio sounds better to me.

Re: LSU Coaching Discussions Post HERE <merged threads>

Actually, this is such a huge thread now that I'll never read it all. There will be quotes coming from everywhere. I kind of like it divided. Then when someone posts a garbage thread it can just die out rather than meld in.

    But, that's just me. :D

Re: Saban, Dinardo, or Sean Payton?

The announcement was Michigan officially contacted Bertman for permission to speak to Miles. That was all.

Re: LSU needs to move swiftly on a new coaching search

Pelini looks to be gone for sure to Nebraska.

Miles seems to be going to Michigan.

So now the coaching search starts in earnest.

Re: LSU needs to move swiftly on a new coaching search

After thinking it over today, I now put Butch Davis as #1 on my list, with the caveat that he agrees to keep Crowton as our OC, for continuity sake. Then bring on a good DC, and we are set to win an NC in the next 2 seasons.

Re: LSU needs to move swiftly on a new coaching search

If it is Butch Davis, there's no need for a big name DC...Davis is a defensive minded HC...It would be more important to keep Crowton, or if he leaves too, a high profile DC.

    Jon Tenuta.

Georgia Tech's DC, currently the interim head coach there.

#12 in the nation in ypg at roughly 310 per. In a conference that is the worst offensively of all the BCS conferences.

Can I get someone to provide proper support as to why he is the right guy for the job?

    Right on!!!

I said something like that a couple of days ago when somebody posted his bio...His defenses are constantly ranked in the top 30, that's what it said...Somebody needs to come up with the sarcasm smiley.
