Re: Les to Michigan already underway??

As opposed to previous coaches who were good for 3-5 losses...or worse...a year? Thanks, but I'd prefer to keep what is proven until he does "screw it up". We kept guys around in the past a lot longer doing a lot worse.

Need to crank up my wayback machine and put some of you in there to live through the late 80's/and the 90's.

If this is a done deal to UM, and I think it is and Miles has the integrity to let Bertman know, then I'm pretty sure Skip has opened that drawer and agents all over the country are spending more than a fair amount of time on it. Rumors may leak but you can bet that once an announcement is made there will be a very quick interview process since the list is most definately been narrowed down by now.

    Absolutely not.

I could offer a rebuttal but what's the point. OK, I will. You guys really want to compare Bowden and what he has done at FSU to what Les Miles has done at LSU over 3 years? Bowden coached 30 years and averaged 2 losses a year. Miles has coached 3. How can you make that comparison and go look yourself in the mirror at night?

For the record, the apology is if you are right....I dont think I have seen Saban stand up and say "I am not gonna be the coach of LSU" wHEN I HEAR THAT THEN IT IS A DONE DEAL AND HE IS COMING BACK.

But guess what, he aint coming back, and I am good with that.

If he did come back, all it would take would be one Jimmy Swaggart-like press conference, and the media would fall all over him again. Book it.

I have heard there is no buyout clause in his contract too. Others have said this same thing was said on the radio with Songy. The 3 mil for 10 years was alluded to with a 10 mil buyout clause. How they arrived at the figures, if they were speaking hypothetically--I have no idea, but apparently someone did say it on the radio.

All I'm gonig to say is don't be surprised if Saban is back at LSU when this is all said and done.
