That makes sense. I can see Osborne with a short list that Pelini is clearly on and was probably the first one interviewed. If he hit a home run in that interview it may have been over already. Either Osborne is making sure he interviews everyone on his list or the interview didnt bowl him over. We'll see.

Who is right for Nebraska? I see Neb as a difficult place to re-kindle the glory of yesteryear. It will take someone who is very familiar with the landscape and fanbase to make it work. Pelini sure qualifies from that respect.

Bo is a great coach -- don't get me wrong. From everything I've seen though, he's not a great recruiter or great with the media. Nebraska is alot like LSU; You better be able to recruit and the spotlight is so bright you better be able to relate to the media because that's what the Fans see.

The biggest thing I don't like about Pelini goes back to his one year at NU. His Defense gave up 38 to Kansas State at Home. At the time it was the worst home defeat in the history of the program. Bo stormed the field after the game to confront KSU coach Bill Snyder to call him out for running up the score. Most Husker fans saw that as a fire or passion. My reaction was -- if you didn't want that to happen you should have stopped them Bo. In addition, he has no HC experience except one Bowl game against an overrated Big 10(11) school.

There are better choices out there. Just my two cents.

I realize this is like mixing vodka and rum, you just don't do it unless you want to get sick, but I have to share this post fron a Husker board. To set it up, it's a reply to "Pete" who guarantees Pelini is the next coach:

Bo and Gill are 1 and 1A right now. Other names that have been interviewed or are rumored to have been interviewd are Jim Grobe of WF and Paul Johnson of Navy. I have no inside information, but I believe there is another out there that we haven't heard about.

No link. Michigan Rivals board had over 1200 posters waiting on a coaching update at 11:00 pm est. It was posted and immediately had 40 to 50 posts following it up saying: We got our man, Go Les Go, It's all but done now, etc. It was immediately pulled because the follow up posts gave out too much information.

We had numerous sources saying all day long that a deal between Michigan and Miles could be made today, but not released until Sunday after the SEC Championship game.

Michigan people and a lot of LSU people are very confident that this is all but done.[/FONT]
