Here's the short version of that long, rambling post... Basically, the guy is saying that DEFENSE wins championships....and he wishes like hell OU played defense like we do in the SEC...therefore that coaching staff must GO !!!
I have absolutely no respect for Bob StoopsSoLow. Ever since his halftime interview of the LSU/OU BCS CG.
Most of those were in the Big 2. Like Boise, for years OU had to get up for one game a year...Nebraska. The rest of the conference was pathetic as was their OOC schedule. Bud and Barry feasted on a pitiful Big 8.
At halftime, a reporter (Lynn Swann?) asked him what he was going to change to score on "this #1 defense". Stoop's answer was a stern "No, we're the #1 defense, they're the #1 scoring defense", after which he proceeded to talk about making plays like every other coach. He really sounded like a crybaby. Ironically, the Sooners probably lost the #1 defense status on Justin Vincent's run on the first play. GEAUX TIGERS
That's right thorny. I remember thinking, what an idiot...doesn't he realize they have fewer yards and points right now, and doesn't he realize only points count?? Lost all respect for him right there...and he's done nothing to get it back. If he would do ANYTHING to warrant the big game title, I'd stop referring to him as big flop bob.
