Outside of coaching changes that we know won't happen, what changes would you want to see to make the team better from an execution standpoint? 1) Teach the o-line to block. Harris actually did decent when he had time. Almost all of the bad throws were under pressure and usually right in his face. 2) Go back to handing Fournette the ball constantly until the o-line learns hiw to pass block. 3) We absolutely have to implement some spread formations, even if just to run out of them. 4) Leave the defense alone. With any semblance of a functional offense they would be dominant. Sure there were issues but they get a pass until we get to the barn. 5) Throw a slant for crying out loud! 6) If Harris continues to make bad decisions and inaccurate throws, give Etling a chance. Harris is a junior, if he can't get it done, next man up. I actually liked how they put the game in his hands on the last drive. They were trying to give him confidence and he had made some good throws earlier in the half. For the life of me I just can't understand why he would throw that ball. That is 100% coaching. If it isn't a sure completion it HAS to be thrown away or just run it. He really needs to have orders that if the first read isn't there to just tuck it and run. The only sliver of hope left is that this is so early it doesn't change any of the goals for the year... see playoff. Do I think we get there? No. We know Les appears to enjoy playing from behind. History also shows the Tigers are far better in an underdog role. Time to circle the wagons and take on the us against the world mentality.
Fire the coach. nothing else matters til then bc he won't even run a 3 wr spread. LF7 will. end up hurt bc of it. so nothing can change til he's gone. it's simply that simple.
Realist: Truly appreciate the sentiment, but if you check the archives, we have been down this road before. Actually many times. I am just gonna roll with the punches and try hard to limit the physical damage.
It's funny when groundhog day was one of my favorite movies as a kid. Now I know why Bill Murray kept trying to off himself.
After yesterday, anyone left on this planet that thinks Miles will change anything on his offense needs to be locked away in a padded cell.
