How about luck? teams do get lucky from time to time. Even Nick lost one to Alabama-Birmingham! The ball ain't round and it bounces funny ways. Actually, I fear teams will have success kicking against LSU. We lost a fine return man in Skyler Green and a successor hasn't stepped up yet. We worry that our mostly new offensive line hasn't gelled yet. A stud defensive line may give them a hard time. We are shallow at linebacker and playing new guys, a really fine running back may get past them too often. Overall LSU is deep with talent but playing a lot of new guys on offense and defense. A strong, experienced team may give LSU fits.
I don't think just luck can beat any team with the talent of LSU. A lucky play will help, but will not decide the game.
We knew Holmes was coming to us for a long time. Even before his trip to LSU. Please don't hurt him, we really need him for the USC game. We have several people going to the game. They are aware not to take the "Tiger Bait!" chants too seriously. I wish I could make it, but I have 2 small children that make it difficult to travel with. Drink a beer for me.:thumb:
I just did. Now I'm gonna drink one for me. Hell, I'm feeling friendly, tonight I'll drink one for each person who poted on this thread.
Hi Tiger fans, I am a UofA fan. Looking foward to the game this weekend. Realistically I do not see UofA having much of a chance unless we establish a sound running game and the D really presses your QB to get him out of rhythm. Hopefully no injuries to either side as well.
Welcome Wildcatstunner. Your defense is getting some praise by some of the sportswriters. Are they really that good?
They looked pretty good, and Stoops has always been a man associated with Defense. I know they deserve some praise because many UofA fans have seen this coming. I honestly feel that how well the D performs against a High profile team like LSU will better let me gauge how good it is. One of the questions I have is about your QB. Is he a real stud, what type of QB is he? Pocket Passer, Scrambler?
Russell is 6'6" and around 250. He's got one of the best arms in all of football..college and pro. He's not a run threat. When flushed, he seems to always find an open receiver.
