are you serious? the storm chased them? you are as bad as those conspiracy theorist who say the Russians "guided" those hurricanes to hurt the US oil supply in the Gulf. I am convinced Nagin is an idiot of epic proportions, and he is now gunning for an all black New Orleans. He tried to get out of his comments by saying you need "milk" to make chocolate....what an ass and a sorry cover up. If you want an all black NO feel free Ray.......Dr King would be so proud of you as a black leader in the new millenium. also, anyone who takes up for this joker is nuts.....just my two cents.
Is it ok for a white leader to say that a city should be "A Vanilla City" since vanilla comes from a brown bean. That should be ok right?
I think the white riders in the Mardi Gras parades buy a bunch of hersey kisses and the party size bars. And unload them whenever they reach Gallier Hall.
Well Martin, since you've already made it abundantly clear that belief in God is illogical to you anyway, why do you even bother to argue the point?
http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/dn/latestnews/stories/011806dntexnagin.1140ecf8.html Ray says he is sorry....interesting find in this article Excluding suburbs, New Orleans was more than 65 percent black before Hurricane Katrina. The storm displaced about three-quarters of the city's population. Most of the estimated 125,000 residents who have been able to return are white. When Nagin, a former cable company executive and political novice, was elected in 2002, he received about 90 percent of the white vote, according to polls conducted by Ed Renwick, the director of Loyola University's Institute of Politics. Nagin received less than half the black vote, Renwick said Tuesday, and the mayor's heaviest criticism since taking office has come from rival political factions in the black community, many of whom have portrayed him as an "Uncle Tom" figure who caters to the interests of white businessmen.
Nagin was a long-time republican before he decided to enter politics. Changing parties helped him get elected, but he never had the full support of the black community. His crazy comments is his attempt to win over the black votes in this year's election. I don't think he stands a chance of being re-elected.
Nagin is gonna be on that Anderson Cooper show on CNN tonight and try to defend his comments, should be intresting gonna DVR it.
