That's all the places my family lives in, my grandmother was a Dupree'. BY THE WAY if you want some good cajun food SHIPPED all over the USA go to

Damn....makes me wish there was such a thing as the internet and cajungrocer.com whenever I was living in California. Oh well, no use in crying about it....it is a good site for all of you interested.

Sorry guys, but it Don's Specialty Meats in Carencro. Take I-49 North from I-10 to Carencro exit (Hwy 726 just past Evangeline Downs). Exit right then left on NB service road. It's on your right just before the next overpass. You won't be disappointed.

The Best Stop, Scott/Cankton Exit, by far the best boudin and cracklin.

    Best in Louisiana

    Here's my take on this.

Best boudin - Eunice Superette in Eunice, Louisiana

Best sausage - Tee Bay's Sausage in Basile, Louisiana

Best cracklins - Rabideaux's in Iowa, Louisiana

If you want the best of all of this just come on down to the Louisiana Swine Festival in Basile, Louisiana. The festival is always the first weekend of November.

We have pork cook offs, boudin eating contest, greasy pig chasing contest.

Basile is the Swine Capitol of the World! LOL.

Hey, Basile...thanks for the info. Never had sausage from Tee Bays, but if it's better than Rabideaux's Sausage, it must be heavenly.

it's not around anymore, but Mire's in Lake Charles had some good boudin and sausage, too. Best boudin we have now in LC is probably Cormie's Grocery. Abe's used to be good, but went commercial with their stuff and the quality suffered. Sulphur has some good spots for boudin, cracklins, and seafood...Richard's and the Boiling Point.

If you like stuffed pork chops, try Frank Fontenot's out of Ville Platte. They are excellent and you can find them at grocery stores all over.
