Armiing and financing the Taliban (Reagan and Bush), arming and financing the Ayatollah (illegally - Reagan and Bush I) and arming Sadaam Hussein (Bush I) versus "pshawed the threats of these individuals"

And you want democrats to rebuke THEIR party?

Are saying this with a straight face?

JD, interesing little "Texas Two Step" around the things I've been asking you all night...

Care to actually comment on the subjects I brought up, regardless of where I got the facts, what are your thoughts about them?

Don't bring up some tit for tat about Republicans, just comment on the fact that Acheson actually claimed in a press conference IMMEDIATELY following Alger Hiss conviction on spying and espionage charges that, "He would not turn his back on Alger Hiss."

Why not stick to the subject I brought up, isntead of waiting for a different subject you can tit for tat with the Republican party about....

Deal with one situation at a time...You've NEVER talked about the information I brought to the table...Discuss it, and save some face in this thread, why don't you?

No, but you damn well made a connection between the two. I don't give a damn if you appreciate it or not. You started this thread by making all sorts of accusations against Democrats. So, grow a thicker skin if you can't deal the with responses.

Tell me why the Bush family is up to its ears in business dealings with the Bin Ladens (i.e. the Carlyle Group).

Tell me why the Regan Adminstration did business with terrorists (Iran-Contra)?

Tell me why Nixon tried to subvert the Constitution?

Tell me why George W. Bush gave $125 million to the Taliban just prior to Sept. 11, 2001?

Your point was that the Republicans are innocent and the Democrats are guilty is crazy. However, I am new to this board. I have met your kind before when disussing the evolution vs. creationism debate. Generally you research only one side of the issue and throw out assertion after assertion. I don't know enough about the Verona Cables but I will research the issue. Your implication that FDR was somehow complicit in allowing our nuclear secrets to be leaked to the USSR is astounding. But, we will see.

    LOL...

    J. Edgar Hoover is quoted as cursing at Hoover and telling him to "F--k off" when he came to the President with evidence...

You are correct in that I have only researched one side of this situation...I came here ASKING TO BE DEPROGRAMMED because the evidence and facts the author brought up got me into an inflammatory mood.

If you have information or research to help me bring this into a sharper focus in a non-partisan light, then that's what the impetus for this thread was all about. To get Democrats to explain themselves and hold their party accountable...

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Damn. You made me spew coffee all over my monitor. This will be my last message in this thread while I research the issue.

While I am researching and I will come back to this, please defend George W. Bush's aid to the Taliban prior to the worst attack on the United States in its history.

This should help bring your moral superiority more into focus.

    I have no moral superiority..

I am not a Republican. I'm no apologist for them...

What I am saying is that the Democrats allowed subversives, spies, and outright Communists into the ranks of the Government, and they infiltrated all the way up into the inner circles of FDR's sanctum, and the Department of the Treasury...

I want you to justify your parties' activities in relation to its cover up of these facts, its "wax job" of buffing out the truly amazing levels to which the POTUS and other Party leaders just flat out didn't care.

Why is it that when I ask a question that questions your party's actions, you throw up the other parties' activities and say, "Well....well, tit for tat!"?

Just answer for your party, and deal with one subject at a time. Answer for your party. You have not done so one single time...Neither of you...

TE: Since you chose Ann Coulter as your source for info against the left, please read Al Franken's book for its eyeopening refutation of Ann Coulter. Let's just say the title -- Lies and the Lying Liars who Tell Them -- pretty much says it all about that self-serving bitch. I can't say it is unbiases, but again, if you base your stance on Coulter, then you won't mind a little left-leaning propaganda from the other side.

That Al Frankin Now theres a impartial one for you.

Al Frankin is a bumbling idiot.

You know the thing that gets me is people like Al Frankin, Barbara Streisand, Susan Sarandon all target the Republican Leaders and point out what scum they are.

How many speaches did you see her make against that pond scum flea bag Clinton.

I realize that neither Republicans , Democrats or Independents are perfect people and all people look back and realize they made mistakes.

I like Reagan, Bush Sr., Etc but i realize they made mistakes and give them credit for serving our country. I despise Clinton but i do the same for him. I think when he started out it was for the right reasons.

If your going to talk about Communism then why wasnt Jane Fonda prosecuted for treason.

As you can tell im a republican. But i am an American first.

FDR had Huey Long Killed. I wonder why? Think it could have been cause he was afraid he might just beat him for the Presidency?

    Think about that for awhile

tigermojo...Yet again you point to the opposite party to justify your parties actions...

I have asked time and again for you & other Democrats to please refute the information I've brought to light in this post. Do not point to another party, or points of negative behavior by anyone else.

STICK TO YOUR PARTY. JUSTIFY THEIR BEHAVIOR. BOTTOM LINE. DO NOT TALK ABOUT REPUBLICANS AS A RATIONALIZATION FOR YOUR PARTY'S BEHAVIOR. EXPLAIN IT TO ME IN CLEAR, PLAIN ENGLISH. PERIOD. END OF STORY.

    TigerEducated,

I managed to buy Ann Coulter's book today and just started reading it. You've certainly made a lot of broad claims. However, is it fair to come here and use Ann Coulter as a reference and require us to refute her statements? Are you willing to provide facts or is your position that we must first refute your claims?
