To paraphrase Tom Hanks' character in A League of Their Own,

    There's no crying in football!

Yeah, I was brought to tears when the clock ran out. After the game I stayed up with my Dad till 3:30 talking about the game over a highball. My dad said they could bury him now that we were NC's. What a day!

Oh, yes, my eyes did get a little misty when the game started. Heck, I teared up during the intro to the 2001 SECCG.

I, too, just couldn't BELIEVE we had finally made it!

I was so wiped out emotionally from watching the 4th quarter, I was kind of in a trance after the game ended, when we were down in the Quarter. True to my husband's prediction, when we got back home to NC, I sat down, got on the TigerForum, read what y'all were saying, and starting bawling tears of joy!

Same for me, exactly. Then, I hugged both of my kids. Some time later, after I had listened to and seen all of the postgame shows on radio and tv, I turned it all off, sat in the dark and talked to my mom, who passed away three years ago. I longed to see her happy face, rejoicing in the big Tigers victory. She was about the biggest LSU fan there ever was. She lived in Baton Rouge and was at my house visiting and watching the game with me when Warren Morris hit the home run to win the CBWS. We danced and huggged and cried when THAT happened. I can hardly imagine what her reaction would have been when the clock ticked to zero Sunday night! I love you Mom!

OK, OK....if I didn't cry before, Now I am!! My mom is a huge LSU fan like that too. She called me like 10 times during the game then after it was over. Man, she was pumped! She always gets really excited at ANY LSU game, but this topped them all. I just wish I had been able to get tickets for her.
