For some reason, The rest of the SEC can't stand exciting, down to the wire, edge of your seat football. Though I personally would like to see us to start putting teams away in the last 5 minutes rather than the last second, the Miles brand of football is worth every penny.

I think the main detraction from the rest of the conference (and what is left of those here who don't like Miles) is that they think it will come back to bite us one day. And that may happen. But until it does, I'm betting on Les and his freakishly large hat :miles:

Honest answer...and I think it will ...the guy didn't do much to speak of at Okla State going 28-21 and 1-2 in bowls... I actually like his personality but as a head coach at a top SEC school I think not.

So I have to chime in on the "winning w/ Saban's recruits" thing too.

Saban said repeatedly that one of the main reasons he accepted the LSU job was because of the large amount of talent found here in Louisiana combined w/ the fact that LSU doesn't really have any in-state competetion for getting recruits that want to play serious DI football.

People need to stop w/ all the "Saban's talent" BS and call it what it is: LOUISIANA'S TALENT!

Miles is winning with Louisiana's talent and has continued to do well recruiting La's talent b/c he IS winning. As long as we keep putting 10+ win seasons in the books, the kids who grow up watching LSU and dreaming of being Tigers when they do grow up, will continue to sign w/ us.

    Tressel and Top 5

Tressel is hands down the best coach in college football.

I'm guessin' you're not Urban Meyer.

Jim Tressel is one of the top five coaches in the game...with all due respect if you do not realize that...maybe you should get into Austrailian rules football. The guy has won multiple CHAMPIONSHIPS at every level of football and continues to...C'mon...you know better than that.

Its not like Oklahoma State is Southern Cal... and opinions are like *********s...

Les Miles 34-6 (2-0 Bowls vs. Miami / vs. Notre Dame - BCS) and a birth in the National Title. All that at a TOP SEC school.

Tressel has an 87% winning record over the past 6 years, and an 89% winning record over the past 3 years.

IMO, both coaches are great coaches. There isn't a coach on this planet who hasn't made questionable decsions. But when you look at both of their resumes, they're very impressive.

Excellent reply...I think you are 100% correct. I would give Miles another 2-3 years and see how he DEVELOPS talent... for example...Did you ever hear about Tom Brady while Lloyd Carr coached him ? NO...Lloyd Carr gets Top 10 class after Top 10 class and you never hear about them again.
