Spread Offense > Ohio State Defense Tressel's had his share of scandals going all the way back to his YSU days.
i would urge you to show a bit of respect and remember this is an lsu board, not an ohio state board. you may defend your team without getting so testy. i suggest that you not call people names or full of s***.
Fair enough. I was unaware I called anyone a name, other than directing general comments at a certain type of person. I apologize if anyone was offended, or felt disrespected. That's not, nor has it ever been my intention. That said, respect is a two way street, and 99.9% of the time, it has been mutually agreeable. Perhaps I should've used the word hypocritical to describe people hopping off the bandwagon for one bad game, when all teams have letdowns, especially during trap games. Dude, you earn your moniker every time you post it seems, and I think you're right on it. Edit: I just looked back through, and TigerKid05, I owe you an apology. just a little fired up, didn't realize I attacked you personally instead of your opinion.
I think the point is that many of us here are not ON the OSU bandwagon. Maybe we feel like our team, the defending national champs, should be ranked ahead of your team.
If I had seen tons of penalties and dropped passes and fumbles and interceptions and blocked kicks and punts, then I'd have maintained my pick. What I saw was a boring and one dimensional offense that could not easily overcome Ohio. I'm not saying OSU will have a terrible season. I'm saying you lose to USC >14 pts. Because even with Beanie Wells, I'm guessing they shut the OSU offense down. If OSU runs the board after that, they still have a chance. USC has a habit of choking on the bones of predevoured roadkill (Stanford). Your emotion over this reveals your own inner doubt about a team that ought otherwise to be crushing teams like Ohio.
this is all i'm gonna address... I think it's good for the team to have games like that as it reminds them you have to show up every time you take the field. it has not shaken my confidence, and i'm a little insulted at the insinuation. You obviously don't know many buckeye fans. I saw at least 7 games closer than this that shouldn't have been in 2002. there was never any panic within the team or coaches, which is a charachteristic of championship teams. Attitude alone isn't enough, and I'm not saying we'll win it all, but it's something that that 2002 team had, and i'm encouraged by it. I'd appreciate you not trying to tell me how I feel about my team...thank you.
