How, by allowing 7 points, creating 5 turnovers and around 200 yards of total offense, knocking their starting QB out of the game, and punishing them over and over again with viscous hits? Our defense will be fine. It's our offense that i'm worried about. EDIT: we allowed 254 yards Our offense looked absolutely @#$@# ridiculous today, and i'm of the mind that it happened for a couple of reasons. Beanie being out is only a small part of it, playcalling was ridiculously close to the vest and simple (holding back never a good idea, imo, i don't care who you play next week tress), in addition, our offensive line looked terrible. Olines don't always block the same for every back, despite the fact that they should, obviously. Our receivers dropped balls. we just didn't look good. Now to all of you haters who try and pretend that your team has played to the maximum of their potential every play of every game of their entire lives, you are full of **** and unrealistic in expecting that from a college kid. We had a bad day, it happens, get over yourself. We will be fine for USC, I guarantee it.
I'm not a hater. In fact, I had your team picked to win it all. Until Sat. You don't have enough offense to stay with USC. You may not have enough offense to beat Penn State or Michigan. Beanie is good. He's not the reason. USC by >14.
A little stubborn sure, but don't be a jackass and call him an idiot, k? He's a game behind the best record in college football in the last 7 years, who recruits incredibly well, and dominates our biggest rival, has an opportunity to be the first team in the history of the big ten to win three straight outright conference titles. He's also got many of our players to stay all four years and finish their degrees, the team grade point average is well over 3.0, with our team doing a ton of community service, and a ridiculously high graduation rate. show a little respect, will ya!?
I realize you're defending the team that you love, and I can absolutely respect that, but you are also very defensive today. We're calling 'em like we saw 'em. Since LSU wasn't playing yesterday, many of us watched that Ohio U. game. Your team was definitely looking ahead to USC--how could they not be? However, the Buckeyes have some serious issues at this point in time.
You were obviously committed to that choice by letting one bad game change your mind. is that the same way you support your own team, perhaps after they lost to ark or kentucky last year? did you throw your hands up in frustration and curse them saying that the girl scouts could beat them? of course not, at least i hope not. Our offense averaged almost 30 points last year and is capable, when they get their heads out of their rear ends. In fact, with the humbling experience that was yesterday's game, we may find the fire that we need to get down to work. Also, Ohio played a good game and some credit has to be given to them. Their defense played like they were on a mission from God, and their QB's made clutch play after clutch play. (we still should've crushed them, I know, but credit where it's due as well).
That's because I was working during the game and watching, pacing around the restaurant like woody hayes about to mug a clemson player. I know there are issues, but when you attack my team, I'll get a little defensive, as do tiger fans, and every other fans. The best part of all of this, is that next saturday night, we'll get to answer the criticism, and we'll see what everyone has to say after, including me, win or lose.
As you know, OSU has a lot to prove to the nation after the past two BCSNCG outings. They have not been impressive, to say the least. We are currently non-believers. But the Buckeyes have to power to prove everyone wrong on Saturday night...
I tend to agree. I picked USC to lose to these guys a loooong time ago. I'm not gonna change my pick. We will see if they are mentally ready. They sure looked asleep yesterday.
I wonder if the fact of having beanie out had more to do with it than what people think, it seems to be a team confidence factor and not having the big gun in the backfield could easily do that, no matter how much players and coaches say it won't affect them. The receivers did look rough as well. I agree with this. Ohio played like madmen and with their 2nd string QB at that. Just one of those days where the weaker team shows up playing way over their head and the more talented team just shows up. Bucks were fortunate to get out of this one on top. that is just funny there...:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
