LA has the potential to be a great state, but it will never get there by electing people like Blanco, Edwards, and even Foster, whose old Democratic roots came out more in his second term.

That's why I voted Democrat...and that's why I'm a registered independent, so that when someone makes stupid statments and bases a platform, campaign, or reign in office on those types of ridiculous thought patterns, I don't have to feel entangled or subservient to some higher political authority...I can just vote my concscience for who I think is best for me and the community around me, be it local, state, or national...

I went to USL too :shock: But don't tell anyone!!! ...I only went there because LSU didn't have my major (x-ray). LSU-Eunice had a program, but there was NO WAY I was going to school in Eunice. But I was on LSU's campus every Saturday night (had a friend that worked in the admissions office, and he got me a student ID from someone that dropped out. It looked enough like me to get me in the student section on Saturday nights!

LOL! I remember calling my parents and asking them if they would mind if I transferred to LSU for at LEAST JUST ONE YEAR--even though I knew that they didn't have my program of choice. They didn't quite go for that...but my dad was always happy to join me in whatever sporting event he had tickets to.

So, after the 1st year at USL, and my blood-alcohol level was higher than my GPA :dis: , I decided it was time to settle down. So, watch out! Lafayette might get your son in trouble!

 

Remember Reagan-Mondale '84? 2004 isn't going to be THAT close.
